Areas We Serve

Landscape Services in Keystone

Ed and Molly Hood worked at the Keystone Ranch restaurant in the early 1990’s. Many of their clientele lived in the Keystone area.

In 1995, when they began their landscaping business, this same clientele hired them to landscape their properties. The owners were so happy with their work ethic and attention to service that they convinced the Hoods to add landscaping maintenance to their list of services. Many of these clients are still customers of Hood Landscaping, Inc. today!

Despite an average growing season of 25 days and the moving of cold air masses down the mountain, we have designed and created water features, patios, rock walls, walkways, irrigation systems and gardens here of all sizes and varieties.

It is important to select hardy native plants while orienting your outdoor spaces to take advantage of microclimates, sun orientation, soil conditions, and views. Call us to today to see why 9 out of 10 projects come from repeat or referred customers.

We hired Ed and Molly Hood about 3 years ago after 7 years of discontent with 2 previous landscape contractors, (high price, low quality and reliability).  Hood Landscaping was recommended by many friends and neighbors as being dependable, highly qualified, and reasonably priced.

We did a major remodel 3 years ago that included a complete facelift to the exterior of our home resulting in the need to re-landscape older areas and landscaping a newly created lower lever patio.  This was a particular challenge due to a steep drop off toward the bike path and river below.  They created a design for a retaining wall that preserved the integrity of the hill but looked great from the bike path below and from the patio.  It also created a flowerbed area that blooms all summer and that we thoroughly enjoy.

Last year in January (with about 6 feet of snow on the ground) we called Molly with a special request.  We were planning to host our son’s wedding in July.  We requested they put on their maintenance list as early as possible after the snow melt so we would have as much bloom and color as possible for the wedding.  This also involved redoing an area that had not been done the year before.  Once again, they came through and the grounds were gorgeous when July arrived.

Molly and Ed did our landscape design, irrigation system, the masonry, and continue to maintain our grounds.  They are very responsive and we have a great deal of trust in their abilities.  It should also be mentioned that the quality of their employees meets a very high standard.

We do not hesitate to recommend Hood Landscaping.  They provide a great product at a great value—worth what paid for.  This combined with responsiveness and integrity make it a pleasure to work with them.
